In 1977 Ted was at a Caribbean Club dance where the DJ was from Trinidad. He asked if anyone present would like to buy his system because he needed the cost of two flights home the following day. Ted bought the system with two turntables with absolutely no idea what to do with them.
Technology has changed things for the better with the advent of CD's and the MP3 standard for hard drives. With today's technology DJ's who use burned CD's or a PC for their business are required to be licensed by the AVLA to comply with the copyright act. DJ's are operating illegally if they obtain their music from the internet and play at a public venue. The use of an unlicensed, uninsured DJ service may have a negative effect on your event should a problem arise. Why have a potential problem with your special event?
