How it all Started
Back in 1977 Ted was at a Caribbean Club dance where the DJ was from Trinidad and
he wanted to know if there was anyone present that would like to buy his system because he needed the price of two flights
home by the next day. Ted bought the system complete with two turntables with absolutely no idea what to do with them. The
speakers were big and heavy and there was a ton of vinyl ( most of it West Indian ). Technology has changed things for
the better with the advent of Cd's and the MP3 standard for hard drives.
Did you know that DJ's who use burned CD's or
a PC for their business are required to be licensed by the AVLA to comply with the
copyright act and therefore are operating illegally if they get their music from the internet and play at a public venue.
The use of an unlicensed , uninsured DJ service may have a negative impact on your event should a problem arise.
